Planes are gross at the best of times, but one passenger’s journey turned straight-up disgusting when she discovered a pair of used underwear on her seat.
Rebecca Naish was flying with Virgin Atlantic from London to Las Vegas when she made the shock discovery, and later Tweeted her reaction.
“Don’t think much of Virgin Atlantic’s new pyjama policy!” Naish wrote. “Found on my seat as I boarded the Vegas flight!”
As you’d expect, commenters were equally disgusted.
“Oh that’s so gross!” wrote one Twitter user.
“At least the seat is wipe [sic] clean,” wrote another.
“The man next to me was horrified,” Naish told The Sun. “I had to wait a while to get the flight attendant’s attention as they were boarding people.”
After alerting airline staff, Naish claims the stewardess picked them up, took them away and apologised.
The owner of the mystery knickers remains unclear, but they likely belonged to the last person using the seat.
The airline has since responded.
“Hi Rebecca, I am so sorry that this was on your seat as you boarded the flight,” wrote a Virgin Atlantic spokesperson.
“Please make a member of the crew aware of this immediately and can I ask that you DM message us with your booking reference number please.”
