When it comes to snapping up travel gear, sometimes the suitcases, headphones and carry-on bags can add up to more than the trip itself.

But with borders around the country relatively open, there’s no better time to gear up for your next holiday at home.

Luckily, a new range of suitcases – and even Apple AirPod dupes – will be on sale from Wednesday at Aldi, and all under $100.

The super-affordable lightweight suitcases – which have been deemed just as good as the expensive, top-brand ones – will be sold as part of the retailer’s luggage-themed Special Buys sale.

So, if you’ve been meaning to update your luggage collection, now is the time.

For starters, the discount retailer will be selling its two-piece Skylite Ultra Light Suitcase set for just $89.99.

The duo set contains both the 79cm and 68cm cases, in either navy or grey.

Previously, Choice gave Aldi’s popular $40 56cm Spinner suitcase an overall score of 86 per cent after rigorous testing of products on the market. That was on par with Samsonite’s 55cm Spinner, which was given a score of 87 per cent but costs a massive $329.

The German retailer will also be slinging replicas of the Longchamp tote bag for just $9.99 – with the designer brand normally selling for more than $200.

The Skylite Foldable Travel Tote Bag comes in four different colours, and have a distinct resemblance to its designer counterpart.

But the biggest saving of all comes in the form of the retailer’s ear bud offering – which looks like an exact replica of the $250 Apple AirPods.

For just $79.99, Aldi will sell a select number of True Wireless ANC Earbuds which are noise-cancelling, include an ENC microphone for clear voice calls, a wireless charging case, touch-sensitive controls, auto connect and Bluetooth 5.0.

Last month, shoppers went wild at Aldi’s snow gear sale – one of its biggest sales of the year – with thousands hoping to grab a bargain given the 2020 sale was cancelled amid the pandemic.
