Now more than ever Aussie travellers are on the hunt for once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences.

But after such a long time out of action, they’re cautious – and willing to pay top dollar for added safety and comfort.

When it comes to these bucket list experiences, few compare to an African safari, and no brand provides a more protected and luxurious safari than Abercrombie & Kent.

With more than 60 years of experience in the safari space, A&K has been a pioneer in the world of luxury safaris since 1962 when Geoffrey Kent introduced the first refrigerated safari, making it possible for guests to enjoy a hot meal and a cold drink while on safari for the first time.

Now, A&K continues to lead the luxury safari space and recently unveiled its new Africa 2023 portfolio, featuring seven new itineraries, seven Luxury Small Group Journeys, 21 Tailor-Made Journeys and two Wings Over the World Journeys by private chartered air.

No experience brings you closer to Africa’s wildlife than an expertly curated Abercrombie & Kent safari – from the lily-covered lagoons of Botswana’s Okavango Delta and the stark dunes of the Namib Desert to the vast horizons of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara.

Why Abercrombie & Kent?

A&K sets the standard for an African journey like no other; its African safaris have won acclaim from guests and travel professionals alike and it has been named Africa’s Leading Luxury Tour Operator at the World Travel Awards many years over.

With 18 permanent, full-time offices in Africa, A&K’s long-standing connections allow it to offer the most desirable room categories, the best game-viewing locations, and handpicked guides chosen for their expertise in the wildlife, flora and culture of Africa.

In Kenya and Tanzania, A&K’s Luxury Small Group Journey safaris are full of thoughtful added touches that make an African adventure memorable without forgoing creature comforts, including VIP Travelling Bellboys to safely handle luggage between destinations, Traveller’s Valet to offer a mid-journey laundry service and private arrival and departure transfers.

Plus, A&K owns and maintains its own custom fleet of safari vehicles with high front and side windows providing great views, air-conditioning in most vehicles, a refrigerator filled with chilled water, and even Wi-Fi access.

Not to mention, the brand works hard to make sure it benefits the places it visits by working hand-in-hand with Africa’s tribes and villages to fund schools and clinics and generate opportunities for employment that benefit local communities.

Tailor-made trips

Booking a tailor-made journey means your client will see Africa exactly as they want to on an itinerary fashioned for them by experts.

Whether it’s a family safari to watch the Great Migration, a leisurely Cape Town vineyard journey or even a gorilla trekking odyssey in the mist-shrouded hills of Rwanda, planning the dream journey with A&K will ensure their tour is perfectly curated to match their needs.

With 21 suggested Tailor-Made Itineraries, it’s easy to realise your client’s African dream journey.

Small group journeys

A&K’s Luxury Small Group Journeys unveil iconic African experiences with over 25 extraordinary itineraries to choose from in South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Ghana, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Group sizes range from a minimum of two and an average of 14 guests, staying in only the finest safari camps and lodges that still ensure travellers will be in the heart of the action.

Each group travels with a local tour director and on-the-ground experts who offer an enriching experience through their own intimate understanding of each African country and its cultures.

Wings Over the World Journeys

A&K has also released two of its coveted Wings Over the World journeys in Africa, including Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

Wings Over the World journeys combine A&K’s luxury small-group travel experience — these Africa group journeys are even smaller, with a maximum group size of 16 — and the time-saving convenience of privately chartered flights between destinations.

Connection and comfort are key; smaller groups, fewer crowds, separate terminals, faster security, and an elevated level of privileged insider access.

These African adventures are targeted toward those who have less time but demand excellence.
