Fremantle antagonist Pat Voss riles up Essendon fans: ‘He’s taunting them’

Fremantle antagonist Pat Voss has riled up Essendon fans with a series of pointed celebrations as he exploded with four goals in a quarter.

The Dockers opened up a healthy 25-point lead by quarter-time before all but sealing the victory with five goals to none in the second quarter.

Four of those goals came off the boot of Voss, who looked like he had a point to prove against his former side.

The enigmatic forward was delisted without playing a game at Essendon, but has made the most of his second chance at Fremantle.

“He’s taunting them,” Anthony Hudson said on Fox Footy after Voss slammed home his third.

After Voss nailed his fourth from the boundary line, a few Essendon fans in the stands could be seen giving the forward a one-finger salute.

“Absolutely did he love it. I’m not too sure the Essendon fans who have come to watch this would have liked it just as much, but he was everywhere,” Jordan Lewis added.

“A lot of these goals have come from sheer work rate, working a direct opponent over, and at the moment, he’s taunting the Essendon supporters.”

Voss has a history of riling up opponents and rival fans.

Earlier this year he was fined for misconduct against Melbourne’s Harrison Petty for a cry baby taunt, which he later apologised for.

Fremantle went into half-time with a 52-point lead and quickly extended that with Jye Amiss getting in on the action before Voss booted his fifth.

The Bombers went over an hour between goals before Archer May finally nailed their second of the match midway through the third term.
